My favorite Irish pub

Gertie Brown's Pub in Athlone, Ireland.  There was a big block of wood burning in the fireplace.  The obligatory Guinness everyday was an automatic 17 grams of carbohydrates.

This amazing painting depicts a true event that occurred to the Black Watch.  They stood fast as the ship was literally breaking apart underneath them.

Macallan 13 year old Scotch

I usually don't buy Macallan Scotch in America.  I think it is overpriced.  The best part of travel is serendipity.  We were driving randomly and came upon the Macallan distillery.  We found a treasure in the form of a special release of Scotch only sold at the distillery.  It's the best Scotch I ever tasted.

I went to Philadephia in Jan.  It was very cold but the tourist attractions were empty.  

Constitution Hall almost inspires one to be a lawyer or an anarchist.

Best Dim Sum in the World Shanghai 2008

This is the famous place for fresh, hot dim sum.  The line was too long. Located in City God Temple in the old chinese section of Shanghai.

 I walked one block over to the market and had dim sum here that was scolding hot liquid on the inside of the bun.  Take a little nip in the bun and suck the juice out first.
