Why haven't my MOCA scores gotten worse?

This summer I seem to have done better on my annual visit to KUMCR and Memory center.

I thought it might be that testing has become much less stressful for me.

However after reading Dr. Dale Bredesen's new book The End of Alzheimer's Program that he may have found the first Alzheimers survivor by the name of Julie Gregory.

p62 "since Julie who is apoE4/4 positive (homozygous), has reversed her own cognitive decline"

from the second book Program.

From the first book The End of Alzheimers published 2017 on page 219 Julie writes extensively on her routine using the ReCODE method,

"At age 49 she became lost in familiar places, failing to recognize faces, and losing her memory."

p 220

"her cognitive evaluation showed her to be at only the 35th percentile for her age when she started treatment.  However after several months on the program, she noted marked improvement,  and her cognitive evaluation rose to the 90th percentile. It remans that 5 years later (and counting)."

This was written in the 2017 edition.

The second book was published in 2020 and is dedicated to her (Julie G).

Part II of the book is co-authored by her.

8 years of reversal of Alzheimers by Julie Gregory that is well documented

 according to published articles.

A year ago I would have argued she was impaired by anxiety not Alzheimers.

Certainly only an obsessive compulsive person could maintain such adherence to the many facets of the ReCode program.

Presently, I am more willing to accept her case as it is presents itself now,

since I myself have done better on my tests in the 8th month of my third year since my diagnosis since December 2017.

I believed I maintained my status with Namzaric for the first two years.

This third year I was on Intermittent fasting for 14 hours a day for 8 months with increases in my ketone levels.  Normally I have always been in ketosis greater than 1.0 since 2011 when I started Low Carbohydrate High Fat diet.

With Intermittent Fasting I would reach much higher levels of ketosis.

Perhaps this is the key to my improvement, which is a major component of THE PROGRAM.

There is another possibility.

For one month I took Cialis every other day.  My testosterone level also was very high and I had a very strong libido.

My vitamin D level went up to 88 with bolus doses of 10,000 units each weekend times 4 on top of a lower daily dose.

On the negative side I did have a concussion.

I also increased the amount of Zinc I was taking in addition to the multivitamin pill I took each day.

By June 15, 2020 I began having more Hope about my prognosis with Alzheimers as I was 30 months into my diagnosis and I had not expected to do so well.

Hope but not False Hope. link
