Is there evidence for long term weight control with diet medications?
The 2016 article below says there is evidence but I don't think there is any 5 year data.
1- People might be surprised to learn that the test arm of LOOK AHEAD used a diet drug Orlistat to get their weight down in the first year of the trial. They didn't find it effective.
LOOK AHEAD did maintain weight loss but was negative trial link
